Monarquía Monarca is a company based in Medellín, Colombia, that sells gift kits with live monarch butterfly chrysalises and ships anywhere in Colombia. Each kit includes a real monarch chrysalis (Danaus plexippus), a handmade pot, a card with your message and a care guide. The person who receives it watches the butterfly emerge at home, 2 to 7 days after delivery, and then releases it. Our kits are most often sent as sympathy gifts to support someone through grief and loss, and also for birthdays, celebrations and new beginnings.
We deliver in 24 to 48 hours in Medellín and in 2 to 4 days to Bogotá, Cali, Barranquilla and the rest of the country. If the butterfly doesn't emerge, we'll replace the chrysalis. We also offer mini Phalaenopsis orchids and anthuriums as add-ons.
